In 2018, we established our own LOGISTICS division, where we have been highly successful. One of our largest leasing achievements was the Big Box deal with L-Shop in Unna, covering 56,600 m² of warehouse and office space.

We have brokered the sale of numerous properties, including a 58,000 m² logistics site with around 21,525 m² of lettable space in Soest and a 33,322 m² logistics site in Triptis with a fully let warehouse and office complex of 17,851 m². We have also advised Aurelis successfully on several occasions and brokered properties in Essen and Dortmund with around 30,000 m² of total lettable space. Many other deals in the 5,000–15,000 m² range round out our track record.

Since the pandemic, booming online retail has sharply increased demand for properties with up to 5,000 m² of warehouse space and adjoining offices. Known as Light Industrial, this property type is attractive to last-mile logistics operators as well as workshops. In this new division, we will focus more closely on properties mainly located in commercial areas across the Ruhr region and its surroundings. We are delighted to have brought two recognised experts in this field onto our team:

Phillip Mersmann will lead and develop the Light Industrial team. An experienced real estate professional, he most recently worked at Sirius Facilities GmbH. His commitment played a major role in the successful development of the Babcock site (Quartier 231).

Imran Kaya will strengthen the new team’s activities. A trained real estate agent, he learned the profession from the ground up and most recently worked as a project manager at Vonovia.
