A modern, urban office district with up to 60,000 m² of state-of-the-art office space is taking shape on the former Siemens site in Essen as the Kontorhausviertel.
The project sets new standards for future-ready workplaces in Essen and is a key driver of the city centre’s development.

Brockhoff secured the City of Essen as the anchor tenant for the approximately 11,000 m² Kontorhaus Ost building.
The city’s property management department is due to move into the completed new building at the end of 2027, where it will use almost 6,000 m² of office space. This makes the deal one of Essen’s most significant lease agreements this year.

“Leasing  space in  Kontorhaus Ost  is an important milestone for the entire project and a positive signal for the development of Essen’s office market.

Around 5,000 m² of modern office space is still available in Kontorhaus Ost.
The layout can be tailored flexibly to tenants’ requirements and suits a wide range of workplace concepts. Interested companies can lease the space directly through Brockhoff.
