Frankfurt-based aam2core Holding AG has acquired the Stadtfenster office and retail building at Hansastraße 30 in Dortmund from CLS Holdings plc. The landmark property offers around 4,000 m² of lettable space, comprising generous offices and 600 m² for dining and retail. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Originally built in the 1950s, Stadtfenster has since been extensively modernised and extended by two floors. Its distinctive glass façade, with large windows that stand out elegantly from the rest of the exterior, defines the building’s appearance. Another highlight: it was one of the first existing buildings in Germany to receive certification under the DGNB standard.
Sustainable features at Stadtfenster include a photovoltaic system, state-of-the-art lighting controls and innovative night ventilation for climate control. The preferred use of renewable building materials also contributes significantly to reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
aam2core Holding AG plans to further optimise the building technology and implement sustainable facility management strategies and green lease agreements with tenants.
Stadtfenster occupies a prime central location in Dortmund, just a few minutes’ walk from the main railway station and several public transport stops.
Brockhoff advised on the transaction on an exclusive basis.
