The days of the Ruhr region as a dusty coalfield are long gone. It has become a hub for world-class modern research. We are proud to help shape the region’s development by successfully attracting universities and other educational institutions. Brockhoff has brought research and educational organizations to the Ruhr region for a total of 43,304 m² of lettable space.

At some locations, such as Universitätsstraße in Bochum, the name says it all. Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) has leased a total of 9,470 m² in several properties through Brockhoff. RUB also took 11,400 m² in downtown Bochum through Brockhoff, as well as 1,394 m² at Stadtpark.

The transformation at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM is remarkable. This former industrial site is becoming a successful hub for academia. In the past two years alone, Brockhoff attracted Hochschule Ruhr West (6. 150 m²), Contilia Academy (2,000 m²), Contilia Nursing School (1,700 m²), and a nursing school for St. Marien Hospital Mülheim (1,560 m²). The 136,000 m² site now has a lively campus atmosphere.

Faculties of TU Dortmund University (3,060 m²) and Dortmund University of Applied Sciences (4,950 m²) have been located opposite one another in Dortmund since last year. Both leases at TechnologieZentrumDortmund were successfully brokered by Brockhoff.

For the University Alliance Ruhr, the collaboration between the Ruhr region’s universities, Brockhoff found suitable space (1,620 m²) in the listed sandstone building on Essen’s Lindenallee.
