Brockhoff INVEST brokered the sale of the “Haus Kettwig” care home at Akademiestr. 2 and the neighbouring senior residence at Karlsbader Weg 5. The buyer, Hanover-based Carestone Group, appointed Auvictum as the new operator of both facilities.

The Akademiestr. 2 property was built in two phases, in 1955 and 1996, on a 2,869 m² plot and has operated as “Seniorenzentrum Haus Kettwig” since 1982. The approximately 4,565 m² facility has 89 care beds. Its two buildings are linked by an intermediate wing containing communal and lounge areas. Other amenities include a publicly accessible cafeteria, a roof terrace, two passenger lifts and an underground car park.

A senior residence was built in 2005 on the neighbouring 3,550 m² plot at Karlsbader Weg 5. It offers 41 age-appropriate apartments across 2,869 m² of usable space, as well as a large communal room and parking spaces.

Essen-Kettwig is an ideal location for later life. The River Ruhr offers many opportunities for recreation in nature. Kettwig’s picturesque old town has numerous restaurants and cafés for socialising, along with all the shops needed for everyday essentials.
