(Essen, 16 December 2021). Bringing joy to children matters more than ever during the ongoing Covid period, when society’s youngest members have had to go without so much. For this reason, Essen-based property company Brockhoff GmbH decided to treat nearly 115 children and approximately 25 staff at the Lysegang daycare centre and integrated family centre on Engelbertstraße to a Christmas breakfast.

“From my office, I look directly into the daycare centre’s courtyard. Last year, it was completely silent before Christmas because of the general closure of daycare centres. Fortunately, this year we can once again bring joy to the children and organize a festive breakfast for them,” says managing partner Eckhard Brockhoff.

The Lysegang daycare and integrated family centre on Engelbertstraße in Essen’s Ostviertel district is a single-storey building that stands out for its distinctive roof. Many cultures, religions and nationalities meet there, creating a rich diversity. Alongside a strong focus on language development integrated into everyday activities, the centre supports a varied intercultural community.
