Brockhoff brokered the sale of a developed plot at Gladbecker Straße 18 in Essen. The site covers around 3,750 square metres and includes a commercial complex with a total of 1,300 square metres of lettable space. One of the anchor tenants is Subway. The plot also contains several self-service car wash bays and 51 parking spaces.
The location is one of Essen’s strongest traffic corridors. Gladbecker Straße has been among the city’s busiest routes for years, delivering consistently high visibility and visitor numbers. The University of Duisburg-Essen’s Essen campus is directly opposite, further underpinning the location and ensuring a diverse, lasting pool of demand.
“Plots with such high traffic and a clear commercial use profile are rare in the Essen market. This sale confirms continued strong demand for highly visible locations in the northern inner city,” says Tobias Altenbeck, property consultant at Brockhoff.
The sale took place through a structured, discreet process from BS Grundbesitz GmbH to a private individual. The purchase price was not disclosed.
