The Stüsselhaus, a distinctive building on lively Rüttenscheider Straße at the corner of Wehmenkamp and Martinstraße, stood vacant for years. Its new owner, Essen-based BUTEO Group, is carrying out a complete refurbishment and repositioning. Brockhoff has secured JustStay as the first new tenant, replacing Hotel Jung. The modern hotel chain will open around 40 rooms in spring 2024 in the 3,500 m² property. Its contactless travel concept is an ideal fit for the lifestyle district of Rüttenscheid.

The repositioning of Stüsselhaus marks another step in the successful partnership between Brockhoff and BUTEO. It is already the 4th centrally located property in Essen that Brockhoff has helped BUTEO reposition. “We specialize in repositioning vacant properties in Essen’s best locations. I am confident that, working closely with Brockhoff, we will fully let Stüsselhaus quickly after the upcoming renovation,” says Sascha Peljhan, Managing Director of BUTEO.

Brockhoff is already in discussions with prospective tenants for the remaining available space at Stüsselhaus. The building’s flexible potential uses offer attractive opportunities for businesses across a range of sectors.
