Since 1998, the buildings at Königgrätzstraße 12 and Huttropstraße 8 have been used as a training centre by the seller, “NEUE ARBEIT (Diakonie Essen) gGmbH”, which has now sold the complex to the MAYESTATE group. Brockhoff INVEST advised on the sale. Following the change of ownership, NEUE ARBEIT, a Diakonie Essen non-profit organisation, will continue to use the property as a training centre and remain a long-term tenant. The Königgrätzstraße 12 section, built in 1955, offers 1,434 m² and comprises a basement-level, three-storey training building with a canteen and large kitchen. The basement-level Huttropstraße 8 section, totalling 3,006 m², was built in 1965 and is used as a four-storey office building. Both buildings occupy a 3,792 m² plot and are connected by an intermediate wing at basement, ground-floor and 1st-floor level (1. OG). A comprehensive refurbishment in 1998 adapted the layout to the needs of a training centre.

The buyer, the MAYESTATE group, has specialised in upgrading existing properties for more than 20 years. In addition to traditional ownership of residential and commercial properties, its focus now includes developing suitable assets for revitalisation in Essen, Bochum, Dortmund and surrounding areas. The group’s operating management company acts as asset manager for its real estate portfolios and foundation.

NEUE ARBEIT, a Diakonie Essen non-profit organisation was founded in 1979. It is a Diakonie institution and a member of the Evangelical Association for Vocational and Social Integration in Diakonie Rheinland-Westfalen-Lippe. NEUE ARBEIT supports job seekers in developing new professional prospects through advice, employment, training and placement, helping people shape their own futures.
