The Tengelmann headquarters in Mülheim-Speldorf used to be hidden behind high walls. Today, the 136,000 m² site presents itself as open and inviting. Brockhoff handled the discreet sale of the property at the time and has been exclusively commissioned by the new owner, SORAVIA, with the repositioning and marketing of the 65,000 m² site. In the meantime, more than 44,000 m² of space has been re-let under a modern multi-tenant concept. As renovation progresses according to plan, new space is continually coming onto the market, which can be fitted out for all types of use – even in consultation with tenants’ requirements.
A total of around 10,000 m² of space is currently available for immediate rental. Thanks to the ongoing renovation work, individual units can be tailored to your needs.
New tenants are guaranteed high-calibre neighbours
The modern tenant mix at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM currently comprises companies from numerous sectors:
- The Contilia Akademie has opened a 2,000 m² training centre on the site.
- A technology group has set up on 1,330 m² of space on the 5th floor of the existing building, which totals 65,000 m².
- The family-owned company DEICHMANN, market leader in German and European footwear retail, moved into more than 10,280 m² of total space at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM in July 2023.
- VKK Standardkessel Service Köthen GmbH moved into more than 1,800 m² of total space at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM as of 1 July 2023.
- St. Marien-Hospital Mülheim an der Ruhr has opened a nursing school on the site with around 1,561 m² of space.
- Hochschule Ruhr West (Ruhr West University of Applied Sciences) has established itself at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM with more than 6,100 m² of space.
- At the end of 2022, the Theodor Fliedner Stiftung opened new premises of around 2,500 m² and a nursing school of around 1,700 m² at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM.
- In 2022, the long-established club TSV Viktoria 1898 Mülheim an der Ruhr e.V. opened the doors of its fitness and health centre, covering around 2,000 m², at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM.
- Wolfgang Grob, former head of security at Tengelmann, has successfully built up his own security company, WSS GmbH, and has rented around 1,100 m² in the former Tengelmann headquarters for it.
- The almost 100-year-old subgroup Standardkessel Baumgarte (founded in 1925) relocated from Duisburg to Mülheim, renting approx. 8,000 m² of office and warehouse space in the very well-preserved existing building on the park grounds, which was fitted out in line with the tenant’s wishes.
