The transformation of the former Kaufhof building into “Corner 82” in Leverkusen city centre is gathering pace. Brockhoff has secured FitX, a nationally known fitness chain, as a new tenant in a prominent pedestrian-zone location, giving the project fresh momentum.

FitX will open a modern gym of around 2,500 m² on the second floor, joining a cluster of sports businesses. The district development company SWM and its subsidiary SEPG had already announced that sporting goods retailer Decathlon would move into the first floor.

These lettings benefit the “Corner 82” project and the surrounding city centre. Both new tenants are expected to increase footfall along Wiesdorf’s pedestrian street and bring fresh momentum to the city-centre revitalisation.
