After acquiring the former, listed Rheinstahl headquarters in 2015, FAKT AG completely revitalized the building and brought it up to the latest energy and technical standards. The property now fully meets the requirements of modern office users.

The high-profile tenants confirm not only the excellent location and quality of the building, but also FAKT AG’s decision to acquire it. Brockhoff OFFICE placed the office space under a lead-broker agreement. The largest tenant is Design Offices, a provider of modern, flexible workplaces for freelancers, start-ups and larger companies, all characterized by high design standards and complete flexibility. With 21 spaces in 9 German cities, Design Offices is one of the country’s largest providers.

Other tenants include Deutsche Bank, recruitment company Hays and a joint venture between Innogy and Burda subsidiary C3. It was recently announced that Business Metropole Ruhr, the regional economic development agency, had taken a full floor of 634 m² from April 2019 after an extensive search of the office market and available premises. Comparison portal Check24 has also recently joined the tenant mix. Few properties in the Ruhr region have such a high-profile line-up, a source of pride for Prof. Schulte-Kemper and his team at FAKT AG.

The complex is nearly fully let: only 2,700 m² of its 17,200 m² of lettable office space remains. Tobias Altenbeck, member of the management team at Brockhoff & Partner and head of office leasing, is marketing the remaining space and is confident it will be let soon. Demand is high because the building is a landmark project for Essen and the entire Ruhr region.
