Ruhr University Bochum (RUB) has expanded its leased space at Universitätsstraße 140 in Bochum.

Brockhoff OFFICE once again advised on the letting.

From 1 July 2023, RUB has leased the 4th and 5th floors at this location, with a total of 4,859 m² of office space.

A further 610 m² of service and workshop space will follow from 1 February 2024. Until handover, the space will be used by Volkswagen Infotainment.

The Essen-based brokerage had already arranged RUB’s first leases in the office building in 2019 and 2020, bringing its total lettable area there to 10,000 m².

With around 42,599 students, Ruhr University Bochum is one of Germany’s largest universities.

The 4.5 km² campus is about the size of 630 football pitches.
