(Mülheim an der Ruhr, 2 December 2021). Brockhoff OFFICE reports another lease at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM. From 1.4.2022, St. Marien-Hospital Mülheim an der Ruhr will open a nursing school with approximately 1,561 m² at the former Tengelmann site. Commissioned by developer SORAVIA to market the 65,000 m² office complex, the Essen brokerage has now secured tenants for more than 25,000 m² in total.
“Highly trained nursing staff are one of the most important pillars of healthcare institutions, which is why their education matters so much to us. To provide high-quality care for our patients, we need nurses who will help shape the future with us. We are pleased to have found ample space and ideal premises for our own nursing school at Parkstadt, where we can offer future nurses a modern education,” says Carsten Preuß, Managing Director of St. Marien-Hospital Mülheim an der Ruhr.
Julia Winteroth, project manager for marketing PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM at property consultant Brockhoff, says: “With its nursing school, St. Marien-Hospital Mülheim is an excellent addition to the tenant mix and further strengthens Mülheim’s education and research hub. Theodor Fliedner Stiftung will also open a nursing school at the site. Hochschule Ruhr West has already decided to establish a presence on the campus.”
Marketing of the historic industrial site is progressing very well. Since SORAVIA acquired it, Brockhoff OFFICE has successfully marketed almost half of the available office space. Several further leases are close to completion and will be announced shortly.

In mid-November, it was announced that Hochschule Ruhr West would establish a presence at PARKSTADT MÜLHEIM, leasing more than 6,100 m².
At the end of October, property consultant Brockhoff announced that Theodor Fliedner Stiftung would open a new operating site on the campus with approximately 2,500 m² and a nursing school with approximately 1,700 m².
Traditional club TSV Viktoria 1898 Mülheim an der Ruhr e.V. will open its fitness and health centre at Parkstadt Mülheim on 1 January 2022, occupying approximately 2,000 m².
Wolfgang Grob, former head of security at Tengelmann, has successfully built his own security company, WSS GmbH, and leased approximately 1,100 m² in the former Tengelmann headquarters.
Standardkessel Baumgarte, a nearly 100-year-old subsidiary founded in 1925, relocated from Duisburg to Mülheim and leased approximately 9,000 m² of office and warehouse space in the well-preserved building on the park-like grounds. The premises were fitted out to the tenant’s requirements.
