The former Tengelmann headquarters in Mülheim is being transformed into a modern district called “Parkstadt Mülheim.” After the company moved out, new office space and commercial units are being created across the site. The main tenant of the redeveloped complex is Edeka Rhein-Ruhr, which will house its administration there.

Redevelopment of the 10,300-square-meter main building is progressing, as is the use of the surrounding buildings by smaller businesses and other institutions. TSV Viktoria, for example, has significantly expanded its sports center on site. Around 20,000 square meters of lettable space are still available for various uses.

Alongside commercial uses, leisure amenities are also planned. A fitness studio and other sports facilities are already in place, and restaurants and local shops are intended to bring further life to the site. The Soravia Group is advancing the project and has acquired large parts of the site. Extensive renovation and strategic repositioning are intended to turn the area into a lively, modern district.

The redevelopment will make the former headquarters the centerpiece of a new neighborhood that brings work, living, and leisure together.
