Dortmund, Brüderweg 9.

Just over 2 months after e-scooters were approved in Germany, Dortmund start-up Wunder Fleet is reporting a positive start. In May 2019, the mobility-tech company moved into the top 2 floors of the former Rundschau building at Brüderweg 9. Essen-based brokerage Brockhoff & Partner arranged the new office space of approximately 760 m².

Founders Philip Müller and Benjamin Krüger develop technologies for sustainable shared-mobility solutions, equipping more than 10,000 rental e-scooters worldwide, among other applications. Wunder Fleet’s idea is very much of the moment. The company is expanding successfully and needed modern office space at short notice for its team, which had grown to 25 people.

Despite a vacancy rate of approximately 2.5% in Dortmund’s office market, the Essen brokerage was able to offer suitable space of the required size that was available at short notice. “We are a young, dynamic team developing technical solutions for modern mobility in cities and metropolitan areas. Our headquarters therefore needed to be accessible by all modes of transport and offer a modern working atmosphere,” explains Philip Müller about the move into the completely renovated city-centre property.

Last year, Brockhoff OFFICE had already secured the law firm Rehborn for approximately 3,450 m² in the building. The owner, property company Terrania AG, carried out a complete renovation while taking Rehborn’s intended use into account. With Wunder Fleet’s lease, the office space is fully occupied.

The Rehborn law firm specializes in medical and commercial law. It advises and negotiates on behalf of healthcare providers, hospitals, medium-sized companies, associations, banks and insurers.
