After the new owner, Publity AG, succeeded in retaining Karstadt as the anchor tenant at its headquarters at Theodor-Althoff-Straße 2 in Essen, the 1st third-party lease for approximately 2,000 m² has now been brokered to Mehrkanal GmbH. ImmoRaising Capital Partners GmbH was appointed by the owner to manage and market the building and is supported by Brockhoff Immobilien GmbH, which has now introduced tenant Mehrkanal GmbH.

The complex at Theodor-Althoff-Straße 2 offers approximately 80,000 m² of lettable space across 4 buildings. Karstadt will occupy approximately 30,000 m² in buildings A and B. External tenants are being sought for the approximately 50,000 m² becoming available in buildings C and D. The aim is to create a strong tenant mix suited to the building. Mehrkanal is the first piece of that mix. Mehrkanal GmbH provides efficient marketing solutions for companies with decentralised sales structures. Communication and exchange among employees, in pursuit of the best possible results, are central to its corporate culture.

Alongside the owner representative’s professionally conducted lease negotiations, the decisive factor was the building’s layout: large floorplates that can nevertheless be divided flexibly. The property at Theodor-Althoff-Straße 2 also offers Mehrkanal other important advantages, including access to the canteen, modern meeting and conference rooms, and above-average parking. In consultation with the tenant, the leased premises will be fitted out to modern office standards. On the planned move-in date of 15 April 2017 (15.04.2017), they will offer a mix of collaborative open-plan areas, quieter individual offices and breakout spaces.
